Plot, puns thicken

tartarmartyrs.jpgWho would you call if Marvel reject Teddy Slane were to leave the bush and suddenly jump into a plush rampage? (And, no — not a rampage in the luxurious, blue-blooded sense.) Duh. Call the Tartar Martyrs, equally dubious but far more capable superheroes who trump Slane for obvious (read: not-so-obvious) reasons. BFF and BDE (best designer ever?) Burton Durand created the characters for the most recent update of The Superest, an online battle of epic proportions. Except by “of epic proportions,” I mean “between sketches by capable, artistic people who clearly own Wacom tablets.”
